We founded Buchanan & Haughton Organics with a  combined over 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry.  Our mission is two-fold, to transform the way Colorado’s residents think about their leftovers and build a movement of sustainability to revolutionize waste management along the Southern Front Range. We specialize in collecting and composting restaurant food waste, ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly solution. Our dedication lies in supplying quality compost to local farms and food growers, creating a cycle of sustainability.

Colorado Springs and Pueblo are two cities with a fantastic assortment of restaurants.  As these cities continue to grow, food waste will only become a more prevalent issue.  Our company seeks to step in front of this growing problem with a solution that will not only be good for the economy, but also the health of our local soils. 

Food waste is high in both macro- and micronutrients that are necessary for healthy plant development. Our food waste based compost will have a lower carbon to nitrogen ratio than most wood mulch based composts could ever hope to have.
